Beowulf has a lot of values. The obvious are that he is strong and is a good leader so the people who serve under him are loyal. But he is also boastful which in some ways is good because boasting seems to be what heroes do, but at the same time it means that if he loses or backs out of whatever boast or challenge he makes or accepts it makes the downfall worse. But this probably wont happen to Beowulf considering he has; killed a monster, Grendel, who was terrorizing and killing many people, and then he swims to the bottom of a lake to kill another monster, so to say the least another value of his is bravery.
Most of this story is unrealistic because it was meant to be told as a story. When he kills Grendel who has been killing so many, that alone is unrealistic, he manages to pull off Grendel's arm and mortally something that no other group of people could kill or were willing to try to kill. He also chops off Grendel's head and carries it with him out of the lake and when he passes it on to be carried back and it takes four people to carry it.
"Never, since my hand could hold a shield have i entrusted or given control of the Dane's' hall to anyone but you"(655). This quote shows that Beowulf is trusted and that the king believes he will complete the task.

One Brother Not Buried


Although Polynieces was not allowed to be buried and his brother was, one person did want him to be buried, Ismene. Her thought was that even though he went against his own country that he should still be buried because of tradition and because she beleived he died an honorable death. Yesterday she went down to the body outside of the city to at the very least see the body and possibly bury it right then and there, but what she did not know was that the body was guarded by the orders from Creon. She was caught red handed and Creon has said that she would be killed. But what he didnt see coming was his own son arguing with him. Ismene also did not expect her sister to try and take the execution puishment with her. But please remember this news paper does not encourage vigilante justice.

changed my mind

I reconsidered my earlier statement, i like this, i like not having to remember to print and bring in my paper.

I don't really like blogging because i could just write it in class instead of writing it at home and not have any homework.
